Gail and I have a grandson who is turning four today. His name is Cade and he likes trucks. So, in honor of Cade, we decided to do the
Blog post today about trucks.
Costa Rica is a “third world country”.
When I first think about that, I get this picture of little villages with no electricity, water being
carried from the nearby river, and certainly no modern vehicles. That may be accurate in certain parts of Costa Rica. But Tamarindo does not fit that image at all.
There are vehicles of all kinds, especially delivery trucks:
Coca Cola |
Fish |
Bread |
Ice |
Milk |
Pepsi Cola |
Pizza |
Vegetables |
Yogurt |
This town, in this third world country, has all the modern communications--internet, cable TV, telephones, etc. Therefore, you also have to have repair trucks. |
But there are still the local vendors who pedal around the town selling their wares. |
There are a lot of different models of vehicles here depending on what your needs are. You may drive a Jeep... |
...or a Mercedes... |
And there are a number of models we do not see in the US, like this little Chevy van. |
But, many of us do not have a car here so we have to rely on Public Transportation...Here comes the bus! |
Taxi stand. |
Of course, all of the traffic signs here are in Spanish..."reduce the velocity"...SLOW DOWN! |
And are enforced by the local Police. |
It is great to have all of these different kinds of vehicles, especially the trucks. Because whenever we see a truck, we think of Cade! :-)
Happy Birthday Cade!!!
